Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to complete a firearm transfer smoothly and efficiently.

Step 1: Contact Black Rose Firearms

Before initiating the transfer process, it’s essential to have your selected dealer get in touch with Black Rose Firearms to inform us about your intention to transfer a firearm and exchange information. Please have your selected dealer reach out by phone 513-480-2715 or have them email [email protected] to exchange FFL information.

Step 2: Arrange for Firearm Shipment

Once you’ve coordinated with your dealer and provided all the necessary information, you’ll need to arrange for the shipment of the firearm to Black Rose. Ensure that your dealer complies with all federal and state laws regarding the shipping of firearms to avoid any legal complications.

Step 3: Wait for Black Rose Firearms to call you

Please allow Black Rose time to receive and check in your firearms. We will contact you as soon as your firearm is ready for pickup.

Step 4: Visit Black Rose Firearms for Background Check

Once the firearm has been delivered to our location, you will need to visit Black Rose Firearms to complete the transfer process. Below are the fees for the transfer:

For handguns/ rifles / long guns: $25
NFA Transfer: $150

During your visit, you will undergo the required background check as per Ohio state law. Once the background check is completed, and all necessary paperwork is processed, the firearm will be transferred to you legally.

Step 5: Complete Transfer Paperwork

Before leaving Black Rose Firearms premises, ensure that you complete all necessary paperwork related to the firearm transfer. This may include filling out a transfer form, providing identification, and signing any required documents.

Step 6: Take Possession of the Firearm

Once all paperwork is completed and the background check has been approved, you will be able to take possession of the transferred firearm. If you are delayed on the background check for any reason, you will be notified once we have the approval and can schedule another day to pick up your firearm.
